Satellite Centers

Thanks to a generous grant from Impact Austin www.impact-austin.org, EA is going to open 12 new satellite centers over the next 2 years. We are now taking applications from cities and rural areas without services or with inadequate services, school and community institutions, multi-use facilities such as apartments, condo, and business parks. Please see the following application/needs assessment. If you are interested in recycling drop-off services in your area pleas fill it out and email it to karly (a) ecology-action.org, or fax it to 512 322-0625, also feel free to email with questions.

Ecology Action is pleased to announce its first round of Satellites at Austin Discovery School, Bedichek Middle School, Zilker Elementary, and Cunningham Elementary. EA is partnering with each school to provide an educational component for the children of each school.

In the coming months, EA will be launching an “Adopt a Satellite” program. Individuals, businesses, and organizations will be able to earmark donations for their preferred satellite location. EA is also exploring Satellite locations in Salado, Marble Falls, Georgetown, and Oak Hill.

Over the years, EA has diverted tons and tons of recyclables from our area landfills. With 12 new sites, EA will continue its commitment to landfill diversion and providing accessible recycling services around Central Texas.
